Elke Rubach, LL.B LL.M CFP CLU

Principal

Elke is intimately aware that in life, everyone has their own set of issues – and they’re not all related to finances. That’s why clients celebrate her for not trying to sell them a product, but for living her mission statement: We listen, empathize and provide thoughtful counsel on holistic solutions in every area of our clients’ lives.

And as a bona fide connector, if Elke doesn’t personally have the right level of expertise to provide a solution, she will carefully match you with someone who does. This is just one example of the highly personalized support that Elke and her team provide to clients every day.

Rubach Wealth’s core purpose – We want every client to be financially independent – is closely linked to Elke’s own life experience: “My dad died at 50 and left us unprepared. Mom was suddenly forced to figure it out on her own. I never want to be in that position, and I don’t want anyone else to be.”

Suffice to say, Elke was profoundly impacted by her mother’s hard work and perseverance. Elke became fluent in English, Spanish, French and German. She earned undergraduate and graduate degrees in law, the latter in banking and finance on scholarship at the London School of Economics. As a lawyer, she worked with McCarthy Tetrault in London, UK, and Toronto, Canada. She founded Rubach Wealth in 2012.

Elke is a sought-after speaker on wealth management, estate planning and philanthropy. She is the founder of Fashion Heals for SickKids, which has raised more than $450,000 for pediatric cancer care and research since 2014. She also gives back with board and volunteer commitments, including the Professional Advisory Council for SickKids Foundation, the Investment Committee at the Office of the Public Guardian, the Advisory Board for Transpod Inc, and the development committee of Ronald McDonald House. As one observer puts it, just looking at her calendar makes most people tired.
